Maryland’s focus on removing nutrients from the Chesapeake Bay and the resulting reduction strategies will have a significant impact on on-site disposal system design, technology and approvals. Innovative treatment and disposal systems will be required to reduce nitrogen to required levels. Advanced treatment will become more common place to meet reduced nitrogen levels per the ground water discharge permits. CLSI has the experience in these systems to comply with the regulatory requirements.
CLSI personnel have more than 25 years of experience in design of residential, commercial and industrial properties which require “on-site wastewater treatment/disposal” and private well. Our firm is familiar with varying design criteria in Baltimore/Washington metro counties for projects requiring the above mentioned private well, wastewater treatment and disposal.

Our staff includes State of Maryland Certified personnel for pre-percolation and soil evaluation for tile field, deep trench and sand mound on-site wastewater systems. They include members of the National On-site Wastewater Professional Association (NOWRA) and Maryland On-site Wastewater Professional Association (MOWPA) and are certified by MOWPA for the “Basis of On-site Systems- Advanced On-site Wastewater Treatment System,” which is approved by the Maryland State Board of Sanitarians.
